Deliveries, Returns & Cancellations
Where do you deliver?
We currently only deliver within the United Kingdom, but we hope for this to change in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled!
Our gift boxes are sent via courier, usually Hermes, although which provider we use for each parcel is at our discretion.
We have a flat rate for all boxes regardless of size and weight, which is £2.99 for standard delivery and £4.99 for express delivery. We generally offer free delivery over a certain amount, and reserve the right to offer free delivery as part of promotions that we launch and expire as we see fit.
We endeavour to get all boxes sent out as soon as feasibly possible, so there is a good chance you will receive your box sooner than anticipated. If this is not preferred, please state this in your delivery comments.
If our selected courier fails to make the delivery within the specified time, despite us dispatching within the agreed timeframe, we will happily refund any shipping costs. However, we are not liable for any other costs incurred for late deliveries outside of our control.
Returns & Cancellations
We do not include receipts or returns slips within our gift boxes, as they are generally sent as surprise gifts to recipients. Therefore, you must retain all email correspondence regarding your order.
We do not generally accept returns for hygiene reasons, as many of our products fall under the food, drink, skincare and beauty categories. However, if your order is incorrect, damaged or faulty, please email us at . Please include your order numbers, a description of the issue (along with photographs if relevant), and we will find a solution. We must be notified of any issues within 14 days of the day the gift box was received.
Should you wish to cancel an order, please contact us at the earliest opportunity. We may not always be able to cancel the order, but providing it has not yet been dispatched, we will do our upmost to help.
Terms & Conditions
What are these Terms & Conditions?
These Terms & Conditions set out the terms on which Mendelli Street provides the website and offers for sale any goods to you, and which you agree to use the website to make such orders. These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders made via our website. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully and ensure that you have understood them in full before using our website. If you disagree with any of our terms & conditions, please discontinue the use of our website and do not make an order through our website.
2.1 In these Terms and Conditions we will use the following terms:
‘Account’ refers to the account that you, the user, creates with Mendelli Street to register as a user. You can create an account using the form available at the top of our website.
‘Basket’ is the virtual shopping basket which contains any products you have selected to add to your gift box.
‘Customer’ is any user who had made a purchase from Mendelli Street via this website.
‘Goods’ refers to any products ordered by and supplied to the customer from Mendelli Street.
‘Listings’ are a summary of our products that we stock at Mendelli Street. Each listing will contain, in general but not as a definite, a photograph, description of the item and a price.
‘Order’ is any request made by the user to purchase any goods sold on our website.
‘Mendelli Street’, ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘our website’ refers to Mendelli Street.
‘Supplier’ refers to the original creator or provider of any goods or listing sold by Mendelli Street.
‘User’, ‘you’, ‘customer’ or ‘your’ refers to the individual who has used Mendelli Street as either a browser or to place an order.
3. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions
3.1 By using the Website and/or making an Order, You accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
3.2 Mendelli Street reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify You of any changes to these Terms and Conditions either by emailing You (at the email address entered by You into the registration form on the Website) and/or by posting a notice on the Website. By continuing to use the Website and/or making any Order after changes to these Terms and Conditions are made and notified to You, You agree to be bound by such changes.
3.3 You can review the most current version of our Terms and Conditions at any time by clicking on the ‘Terms and Conditions’ link located at the bottom of the Website. It is Your responsibility to ensure that You are familiar with the current Terms and Conditions. You are advised to review our Terms & Conditions on a regular basis.
4. What is the website?
4.1 The Website is an electronic retail store which combines physical products, charity donations and gift experiences sourced by Mendelli Street.
4.2 A customer can buy gifts and send them either to themselves or direct to their recipient using our website.
5. How to make an order
5.1 Users may browse the Website for free and may view products without any obligation to make an Order.
5.2 If You wish to purchase Goods shown, You may select it by clicking “Add to Gift Box” on the Listing for the relevant Goods. The default setting for quantity of Goods shown is generally (though not always) one item.
5.3 When You click the “Add to Gift Box” button on an item, the Goods shown will be transferred to Your Basket.
5.4 You can view Your Basket at any time by selecting the Basket icon at the top right hand side of every page of the Website.
5.5 By adding Goods to Your Basket, You have not entered into any binding commitment. At any time prior to payment, You can delete any item from Your Basket by selecting the ’remove’ button in your Basket.
5.6 When You have finished selecting Goods, You may select the “Checkout” button at the bottom of Your Basket.
5.7 You may be asked to log in to Your Account, or if You have not yet set up an Account, You may be asked to register with the Website. Once you have input your details, You will be redirected to the web page of our secure payment provider. You will be asked to enter Your credit or debit card details and to click “submit”. Depending on Your card provider, You may be redirected to a card verification page in which You will be asked to enter certain letters or numbers of Your secret password. This card verification page is operated by Your card issuer.
5.8 Mendelli Street reserves the right to remove any discount codes, vouchers or credit at any time without prior notice. Use of such discount codes, vouchers and credit are limited to one per user unless otherwise stated.
5.9 Mendelli Street will not see or receive Your credit or debit card details or the letters or numbers of Your secret code (to the extent that You are required to enter these). These will be viewable only by the payment provider and/or Your card issuer (as applicable).
5.10 When Your payment has been processed, You will receive a confirmation email from Mendelli Street.
5.11 On completion of the payment process which shall occur at the later of submission by You of Your credit or debit card details and (to the extent applicable) submission of the relevant letters or numbers of Your secret password, an Order will to have been made.
5.12 The cancellation and refund policies set out below shall apply to such Order.
6.1 Delivery charges (if applicable) will be added at checkout. More information can be found in our Delivery & Returns section.
6.2 If by accident the sender adds the wrong items to the wrong Gift Box, Mendelli Street will not be responsible. We will endeavour to correct this mistake providing the User contacts us at the earliest responsibility to rectify this error.
6.3 If by accident Mendelli Street include the wrong items within the wrong Gift Box, Mendelli Street will take full responsibility and pay for the return and replacement of said items.
6.4 Mendelli Street rely on third parties to provide delivery services. We are not responsible if estimated timelines are not met. If You do not receive a delivery in time, You may cancel Your Order in accordance with the cancellation policy detailed below.

7.1 If for any reason You are unhappy with Your Order, please contact us at the earliest opportunity. We do not accept returns in general for hygiene reasons, however you have 14 days to contact us if you there is an issue with your order, such as an item arriving damaged or faulty, and we will work with you to rectify the issue.
7.2 All items must be returned new, unused and with all tags and original packaging. Please note: Unless faulty, we are unable to accept returns of perishable items, earrings (for hygiene reasons), personal items sold with a hygiene seal where that seal has been broken, underwear, swimwear, products made to order, or any item that has been used or returned in an unsaleable condition. Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and sent back to You or your Recipient.
7.3 We reserve the right to replace goods wherever possible, prior to offering refunds. Refunds will only be credited to the original payment method used. The refund does not include any shipping or handling costs unless otherwise agreed. We strongly advise You to send all returned items by a secure signed for service. Any returned items must be insured for the full amount of the sum paid and signed for on delivery.
7.4 Mendelli Street will not be responsible for any lost or damaged Goods. Therefore, You are advised to retain the proof of postage certificate for any Goods returned.
7.5 If You are entitled to a refund, Mendelli Street will credit the original purchaser`s credit/debit card for the sum paid within 3 business days of receipt of the returned Goods. Card refunds may take 2-3 business days to appear in Your account.
7.6 Orders which are used for commercial purposes and subsequently returned (e.g. for use as props for photography) are actively monitored. Mendelli Street reserve the right to refuse to serve customers suspected of undertaking this activity for future orders. 8. Your conduct
8.1 By downloading and/or using the Website, You agree not to upload, post, e-mail or otherwise send or transmit any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment associated with the Website.
8.2 You agree and undertake to keep Your username and password confidential, not to disclose Your password to any other person and not to permit any other person to log in to the Website using Your username and password.
8.3 You agree not to interfere with the servers or networks connected to the Website or to violate any of the procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the Website, including these Terms and Conditions.
8.4 You also agree not to:
(a) attempt to reverse engineer or sell, export, license, modify, copy, distribute or transmit the Website to any third party, or jeopardize the correct functioning of the Website, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the software (including the tools, methods, processes and infrastructure) that enables or underlies the Website;
(b) attempt to gain access to secured portions of the Website to which You do not possess access rights;
(c) impersonate any other person while using the Website;
(d) conduct Yourself in a vulgar, offensive, harassing or objectionable manner while using the Website;
(e) resell or export the software associated with the Website;
(f) use the Website to generate unsolicited advertisements or spam; or
(g) use any automatic or manual process to search or harvest information from the Website, or to interfere in any way with the proper functioning of the Website.
Publicly slander the website using inappropriate terms in a manner which Mendelli Street considers defamation/libel. This includes making slanderous statements on social media ie. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. If you have an issue with a product or service provided by Mendelli Street, please contact us as early as possible so we can work with you to rectify this issue.
9.1 We currently accept all major credit cards including VISA, MasterCard and AMEX, as well as Paypal. Our e-commerce platform is using Stripe for a trustworthy and secure check out process, making ordering your cards anywhere at any time a simple, safe and seamless experience.
9.2 We reserve the right to amend our payment processor at our own discretion. If this is the case, we will update our Terms & Conditions and notify you of this update, either by email or on our website.
9.2 If you create an account and enter your payment details, your card will be stored securely by Stripe or Worldpay so that you can check out on future visits without re-entering your card details.
We never store or have access to your credit or debit card details, and you can remove these via Stripe or Worldpay at your own discretion.
9.3 On occasion, Stripe or Worldpay will send the issuing bank a request for either a £0 or a £1 authorisation to verify that the card is issued, and the bank will allow it to be authorised. This is a security measure from Stripe, to ensure that your card is chargeable, and will have no effect upon the overall price you pay for any products you purchase from the Mendelli Street site or mobile applications. Regardless of whether or not the authorisation is declined, the authorisation request is reversed immediately. However, even if the bank declines the authorisation, some people may still see an authorisation for £1 on their credit card statement. The important thing to remember is that this is not a charge, and it will disappear from your statement; depending on the bank, it will be removed from your statement within a few weeks, if not sooner.
10. Our rights
In providing You with access to the Website, publishing Listings and permitting You to make Orders for Goods via the Website, Mendelli Street reserves the following rights, and in accessing, browsing or otherwise using the Website and/or making any Order via the Website, You grant to Mendelli Street and agree that Mendelli Street shall have the following rights:
(a) the right to refuse or withdraw Your access to the Website in accordance with applicable laws for any reason at any time (with or without notice) if in Mendelli Street’s sole and absolute discretion You violate or breach any of these Terms and Conditions;
(b) the right to suspend, amend or disable Your Account without giving You notice or any reason;
(c) the right to cancel any Order or amend in part any Order without giving You notice or any reason, save that in such circumstances Mendelli Street shall refund such part of the Order as has been cancelled by it;
(d) the right to report You to the police or other judicial body if Mendelli Street believes in its sole and absolute discretion that Your conduct (whether in using the Website, making an Order for any Goods or otherwise) is or may be unlawful.
11. Intellectual Rights
11.1 Mendelli Street and/or its licensor(s) are the sole owners of the Website, which includes any software, domains, and content made available through the Website.
11.2 The Mendelli Street Website is protected by UK and International copyright and other intellectual property laws. Without limitation, this means that You may not sell, export, license, modify, copy, distribute or transmit the Website (or any part of it) or any material provided through the Website without Mendelli Street’s prior express written consent.
11.3 Any unauthorized use of the Website will result in the automatic termination of the limited license granted by us. Mendelli Street reserves the right to terminate the limited license without notice at any time following an unauthorized use by You of the Website.
11.4 Mendelli Street and its graphics, logos, icons and service names related to the Website are registered and unregistered trademarks or trade dress of Mendelli Street. They may not be used without Mendelli Street’s prior express written permission.
11.5 All other trademarks not owned by Mendelli Street that appear in connection with the Website are the property of their respective owners, who may or may not be affiliated with, connected to or sponsored by Mendelli Street.
Whilst we have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to secure Your personal information from unauthorised use, we cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will never be able to defeat those measures. You acknowledge that You provide Your personal information at Your own risk.
13. Electronic Communications
By downloading and/or using the Website and/or viewing Listings and/or making any Order for Goods through the Website, You consent to receiving electronic communications and notices from Mendelli Street. You agree that any notice, agreement, disclosure or other communications that we send to You electronically will satisfy any legal communication requirements, including that such communications be in writing.
15. Product Liability
15.1 Unless expressly stated, Mendelli Street does not produce or create any of the products sold on this website. We are a reseller who sell products which we obtain from legitimate businesses which are entirely separate entities from Mendelli Street.
15.2 Mendelli Street is not liable for any illness, accident or death which comes as a result of using or consuming any of the products sold on our website.
15.3 Mendelli Street is not responsible for the information on the packaging of any products sold on our website. Any missing or unclear information is the responsibility of the supplier.
15.4 If you suffer from a particular allergy or infliction, we advise that you do your own research of products sold on this website to ensure you are safe to proceed.
You agree to indemnify and hold Mendelli Street and its related companies, and each of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents and merchant partners harmless from and against any third-party claim or cause of action, including reasonable attorneys` fees and court costs, arising, directly or indirectly, out of Your breach of these Terms and Conditions and/or Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
17.1 You agree that these Terms and Conditions and any claim, dispute or controversy arising out of in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), the Website, Mendelli Street’s advertising or any related transaction between You and Mendelli Street shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
17.2 Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with such matters (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Mendelli Street may change or discontinue the availability of the Website and at any time without prior notice. Mendelli Street reserves the right to terminate these Terms and Conditions for any reason, without notice, and these Terms and Conditions shall automatically terminate in the event that You violate any of the Terms and Conditions set forth herein (with prejudice to our accumulated rights against You). In the event of any termination, You will immediately cease use of the Website and will not make any Order.
19. Gift Club
19.1 Mendelli Street Gift Club is a loyalty scheme exclusive to Mendelli Street. It allows customers the opportunity to earn rewards on purchases they make from Mendelli Street.
19.2 The Gift Club scheme is operated by Smile Loyalty and Rewards.
19.3 Each pound you spend at Mendelli Street is equal to ten rewards points. When you reach 100 reward points, you will have £1 to spend at Mendelli Street. You can redeem these points by creating a Mendelli Street account and following the instructions in the rewards tab on the bottom left of the screen.
19.4 A unique code will be generated for you to redeem your points. Input this code in the discount code section at checkout. You cannot combine points with other discount codes.
19.5 You have one year to redeem any points acquired from each individual purchase.
19.6 Points will not be awarded for any charity donations - this is because all profits from charity donations go directly to the charity.
19.7 Points are not awarded for delivery costs.
19.8 Points are awarded per each full pound spent at Mendelli Street. A purchase of £1.99 would be classed as £1 and therefore ten points. Points are awarded for the amount paid after any discount codes have been applied to the order.
19.9 Customers are welcome to withdraw their points balance in increments of their choosing. For example, if the total points balance is 2000, they are welcome to only redeem 500 points worth.
19.10 Mendelli Street reserves the right to amend/remove points or exclude customers from the scheme at our discretion.
20.1 These Terms and Conditions are agreed between You and us. No person shall have any rights under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
20.2 If any court or competent authority decides that any term of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term shall, to that extent only, be severed from the remaining terms, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
20.3 Mendelli Street reserves the right to charge interest on any late payments at the rate of 7% per annum above the base rate of the Bank of England. Interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount, whether before or after judgment.
20.4 Headings are for reference purposes only and in no way define, limit, construe or describe the extent or scope of such section.
20.5 Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision and will not relieve You from the obligation to comply with such provision.
20.6 You are not permitted to assign, transfer, charge, sub-contract or deal in any other manner with all or any of Your rights under these Terms and Conditions without our prior express written consent.
20.7 These Terms and Conditions set forth the entire understanding and agreement between You and Mendelli Street with respect to the subject matter hereof.
20.8 These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
20.9 You irrevocably agree that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
Book Scheme by Mendelli Street
21.1 Book Scheme by Mendelli Street is a subscription service exclusive to Mendelli Street. Customers can receive the requested amount of books on a monthly basis.
21.2 The first payment of the subscription will be taken on the same day that the subscription is taken out. Future payments will subsequently be taken on or close to this date each month. Parcels will be dispatched on the 15th of each month.
21.3 Cancellation of the subscription is free and can be requested by the customer at any time. Cancellation can be actioned either via the customer's account or by contacting Mendelli Street at . Please note, the final date to cancel payment each month is the 5th. If cancellation is not requested before the 4th of the month, your order may have already been processed and cancellation may not be possible for that month. If cancellation is requested via email, Mendelli Street endeavours to process this as soon as possible, however, cancellation is not complete until confirmation has been issued by Mendelli Street.
21.4 Book Scheme by Mendelli Street accepts book donations from customers. The shipping for these donations is paid for by Mendelli Street and can be requested by the customer. No other payment or exchange is to be requested for donated books. Books will be examined by Mendelli Street upon receipt and will either be redistributed to our subscription customers or donated to a women's shelter.
21.5 Book Scheme is responsible for assuring the quality of each distributed book. Books may have defects in line with general wear and tear, including scuffs, small tears, creased spines, folded pages, etc. They may also be brand new but imperfect copies. In any case, Mendelli Street are liable for issuing books that are of a satisfactory standard. If the customer receives a book that is not in a satisfactory standard, they may be eligible for an exchange upon photographic examination.
21.6 Book Scheme endeavours to not send customers any book that they have received previously as part of their subscription. In the event of a mistake, customers are entitled to an exchange.
21.7 In all other instances other than the example outlined in point 21.5 and 21.6, books are not eligible for exchange. As mentioned in point 21.4, customers are able to send their book back to Mendelli Street for free as a donation.
